Can the rain please go away?

So, yesterday I mentioned that our basement had flooded overnight with all the rain. Boy, was that just the beginnning. We talked to both of our neighbors and both had water in their basement. One couple next door to us said they came home from a wedding late that night and the tennis courts at Moran Park were completely covered, you couldn't even see the nets. They said the whole street was flooded up to our driveway:). Unfortunately we still had all the water in our basement. We shop vac-ed it all up and then noticed that the water was still coming in. So Matt opened the door to a little closet and we noticed there was a hole in the ground! Yikes! The hole, we think is supposed to be here for the reverse reason but because there was so much rain it is actually allowing more water in. There's really nothing we can do until it STOPS RAINING! We can't fill the hole because there's still water downstairs. Matt literally worked for about 10 hours yesterday doing everything he could to stop the water and cleaned our gutters and even mowed the lawn but it's frustrating because we are "sitting ducks" until the rain stops. We just have to keep going down there and try and take care of all the water so it doesn't get moldy and nasty down there...frustrating.

Anyways...I am just hoping that it will stop raining and the ground can dry up....or it's going to be a LONG week and it's only Monday!
